So only the surface of the carpet is cleaned and not deep into the carpet layers.
In addition, the dry cleaning chemical is NOT rinsed off the carpet which leaves a residue and leads to re-soiling of the carpet much more quickly. This method is also known to cause yellowing from the high pH.
